Histocell receives the “Enpresan Bardin” award from CEBEK for its equality policies.

On May 8, Histocell received the “Enpresan Bardin” award for its work in equality during the General Assembly and 125th anniversary of CEBEK.

This award recognises the internal work carried out in Histocell throughout this years to build a company where 85% of the staff are women with different profiles within the biotechnology field.

Histocell was born in the UPV-EHU University under the command of two PhDs in Biology and moved to the business environment in 2004, settling in the Technology Park of Bizkaia, becoming an example of how a biotechnology company based on research in regenerative medicine and cell therapy, can reach maturity in a market so complicated that many are left by the wayside.

Today Histocell maintains the same objectives as 20 years ago, having gone through many scenarios in which hard work and the ability to adapt have been decisive in achieving its goal: to improve the quality of life of people.

In its development and manufacturing of cell therapy drugs as well as medical devices and dermo-cosmetics, Histocell applies its knowledge and expertise to combat oxidative stress to create different solutions for indications ranging from ulcers and wounds to bone lesions.
